I was born in the Croatian coastal town of Rijeka 34 summers ago. Since then, I have been spoiled by the clear Adriatic Sea and now have difficulties admiring the colors of the Alster and the Elbe.

 
 
 
 

The Past

The love for the sea pushed me into exploring ships and eventually made me get my engineering degree in ship design and naval architecture. Life then offered me living and working experiences in countries like Portugal and Norway where I spent several years working as a PhD researcher on the design of Arctic icebreaking ships. 

 
 
 
 

The Present

This research is what brought me to Hamburg, but the city is what made me stay. The light, the vibe, and the people. In the meantime, I started photography and creative video production business with my brother [@brotherside], with some exciting teaching projects in the making. Due to all these, I have put my science career on hold, enjoying the freedom of the digital age and exploring creativity along the way.

 
 
 
 

Your New Flatmate

I have experiences of living alone, with my partners, as well as with flatmates in shared apartments. The idea of getting to know new interesting people, sharing some time and space, and inspiring each other currently feels like a much better option than living alone, especially in the present social circumstances. 

I am not afraid of cleaning and housework. In fact, some of it I even enjoy. Being tidy myself, I prefer clean and organized common areas. I like to see myself as respectful and considerate of your time and space.

I enjoy music and exchanging thoughts and ideas. I’ll rarely say no to a stroll in good company, exploring new areas with a camera and/or a drink in my hand.

With fluency in English and Croatian, the plan for the near future is to finally tackle that bloody German to fully immerse in society.

I cook nearly daily [Mom, I hope you’re reading], don’t smoke, and recently got fully Covid-vaccinated.

These days I do home office about 50% of the time, and the rest I use creating photo and video content outdoors or in our studio.
